When I first started playing FS2, I had an affinity towards the Terrans as opposed to the Vasudans, but after playing a couple great campaigns like the Procyon Insurgency and Shrouding the Light, I've taken a lot more of a liking to the Vasudans. It would be neat to see more campaigns about them. There have been many user-made models of ships, but after viewing the wiki and encountering these ships in the campaigns, I feel that there are a lot more Terran ship models around than Vasudan ships. Are there any campaigns under development that feature a plethora of user-made Vasudan ships?

Earth Defense has a number of maybe-new Vasudan models, though I believe they're shared with other campaigns; BP3 also has a sizable Vasudan fleetpack stocked up but it is probably going to overlap considerably with the ED one.

If you're talking about StratComm's Vasudan fleetpack, those are all public if you look hard enough.

Then yep, that's about the shape of things for the moment, though BP3 has a couple other additions that I know of.

None that aren't publicly available.

This is a good thing!

I look forward to encountering these new ships in BP3. You guys even remotely close to releasing it yet, or is it going to be a year or two?

Well we have to finish BP2 first, since we've only tossed out the first half. Earth Defence is also trudging along though, and the models are public if you want to dig them up.

They're on FSMods
No need to even dig.

That's what I meant by 'digging'.

Ah ok. I thought you meant digging through the threads in the FreeSpace Modding forum to find the old post where I first linked them (and for a while was the only download place for em cause FSMods upload was broken).

"The Lost Generation" will feature a 17 mission long Vasudan campaign in Capellan era - and TLG could be ready for beta-test early next year (I'm making no promises though)
as for new ships here - the GVF Heset will be introduced as it is tabled for the "Workings Of The Warp"-continuity (but I can't really introduce more since it's Capella-era)
I'm also working on a Hammer Of Light-campaign (Great War-era) on the side - but it won't be entirely about the Vasudans though... full-fledged development could start as soon as TLG is released

There's plenty of Vasudan campaigns for FSPort, I suggest you to try them.
Vasudan Empire demo is really worth checking, as is Shrouding the Light.

Wait until INFASA comes out. :)

I was under the impression that War in Heaven Part 1 was equal to BP2, and War in Heaven Part 2 was equal to BP3. Not so, eh?

Nope. It's War in Heaven R1 and R2, then BP3. But the confusion is understandable, and in the end you could just as well call them BP3 and BP4 if you liked.

At least we don't have to deal with BP: Super Confusing Project like we have to do with Inferno.

When will INFASA come out here??

When Mobius finishes it. I understand we won't be waiting that much longer if all goes well.
-
Yes, it's mostly a matter of (solo) FREDding now. But the soon-to-come INF release isn't INFASA. :drevil:

To be perfectly honest, unless it's INF main I'm uninterested.

Don't count your chickens, it's half-way there already

wat?

Vasudan campaigns don“t require any BP- or Infernomods. The most Vasudan campaigns,i know, are based on FSport and FS2. ;7
Look on Vasudan Imperium Demo,Mardukshroud and so on.

ITT : my thoughts exactly
It's one the reasons that made start FREDing my own campaign.
I really like Vasudans, my favorite part in retail FS2 was when you were on the Psamtik.
So ... we're expecting next gen Vasudan ships in BP ?
Can't wait to see them :)

Yes, I'm looking forward to playing around with Stratcomm's Vasudan fleet. They complement the Terran fleet very nicely.
