as some have asked, here is my shockwave colored orange/yellow
I've also added a new particlesmoke01(an edited version to the one I made for mediavps), I basically made it more transparent so it won't be so bright, I'd like some feedback on it please

It looks great, can you make a 3D version of it?

I don't think that shockwave is intended to look 3D, it looks more like a 2D "bubble" shaped shockwave extending from the ship.

Yes, but I prefer 3D shockvaws for ships and 2D ones for weapons.
3D version of blue one looks nice.

A noob question :nervous:
I put it in my mediavs_3612\effects directory, and it don't see these shockwaves in game (tested with belisarius)
Must I do something special ?

you need to make a shockwave.eff file telling the game to use the effect as TGA, or compress them to DDS and use them normally that way...
can I have some feedback on the fire trails as well please? :)

Here's one of the Sai dying. It's really cool when these shockwaves are popping off one after another.

the shockwave look so good! :)
looks red and orange, perhaps a shivan bomb explosion, or shivan weapon explosion! xD

Open notepad, or text editor
put this text:
$Type: TGA
$Frames: 95
$FPS: 40
FPS is the velocity of frames, per second, you can adjust if you like.
And save with this name:
shockwave01.eff
extension need is .eff
add it manual, if that is necessary
and put the file with the shockwave (in same folder)
