Title: Drink!
Post by: Bob-san on October 14, 2010, 10:38:36 pm
...

And Bob-san said, "Let there be ethanol," and there was ethanol. Bob saw that the ethanol was good, and He saturated the water with ethanol. Bob called the ethanol "booze," and the water he called "necessary." And there was drinking, and there was morning—the first hangover.

Just beer for me.  Most wines I've tried have this sickly-sweet thing going on that I'm not a fan of, and I can't get over the taste of raw alcohol in stronger stuff.  I will have the occasional mixed drink, though.

EXISTENTIAL CRISIS IMMINENT

inb4 confusion between liquor and liquer
Liquor: distilled alcohol
Liqueur: distilled alcohol bottled with extra sugar

It is liqueur, not liquer.  Just think of it as the French ruining perfectly good hard alcohol with sugar.

Come to think of it, I probably should have put down liqueur, as I've enjoyed a few after-dinner drinks.  There's this cranberry liqueur called Black Duck that's quite good.

It is liqueur, not liquer.  Just think of it as the French ruining perfectly good hard alcohol with sugar.
You mean making it actually palatable? :p

I'd love to blame that on a typo, but I actually didn't realize the spelling.
Ya learn every day. :)

Alcohol makes people smelly sloppy messes.

Well, not always, but I prefer my Kool-Aid right here.

voted beer though cant stand it but I drink cider which is at the same level and also voted Liquor even though its spirits on this side of the Atlantic because later into the night I usually progress onto vodka mixes, shots, rum and occasionally snaps.  would like to have voted wine as well as I enjoy a few glasses at celebrations.  also how would you vote for Irish cream? as I also enjoy a few measures of Bailey's and the like.

and no I am not an alkie

Up to 2 options?

Perchance some decent beers, liquor, some liqueurs, white wine (not red, that **** tastes like potato cellar).

Well, maybe not all of them at the same time, but... you know.

there, i voted for everything

I voted for everything but Snuffie!  ;)

BTW Irish Cream (or Baileys), I would class as a Liqueur. Which is the only reason I voted for that option!

Alcopops - they have the alcoholic content of strong lager therefore I'd say beer!

EDIT!! Actually Four Loko has the alcoholic content equivalent to wine, so maybe that!

*rodo watches the options*

*Beer.... uh that's one *click*

*Liquor.... yeah, sure. *click*

*Liqueur... Liqueur yeah... wait, what's the difference?... I'll just leave that one.

*Wine... sure *click*

*Snuffleupagus (aka: I'm a non-drinker).... that's not fare, now that I see the option it's too late. *click*

Well personally my favorite type is beer. I like dark beers etc.: bitterness hasn't yet put me off.

However, since half-decent beer is expensive, I typically drink either hard liquor (except whiskey--I've had it a few times and don't like it) or something mixed (lately it's been Vodka + Curacao).

I used to drink straight liquor all the time, but now I can only drink ***** beers and beers and wine. :\ And lokos, but they are not ***** beers because they are like 12%.

Beer's cheaper but liquor's quicker.

If I'm having an alcoholic beverage with food, it's beer (or occasionally wine).

If I'm drinking at the bar, it usually starts with beer then moves to Johnnie Walker Black on the rocks/straight - depending on my mood.

Some say let's get drunk on whiskey,
Some say on vodka.
From what I've tasted of Kentucky,
I hold with those who favor whiskey.
But if I had to throw up twice,
I think I've drunk enough to know
That for inebriation vodka
Is also nice
And will suffice.

I don't always drink, but when I do, I can stomach beer (or hard cider - sorry for being a wuss).
I am... pretty un-interesting.
