110GB. Not including concert DVD's, SACD's, DVD-A's, or some new music I've gotten recently.

haha very cool :)
-
(http://i51.tinypic.com/2yjsryu.jpg) there mine :)
-
i have 26 days, 11 hours, 36 minutes, 36 seconds worth of music in 7762 songs on 855 albums by 221 different bands, which take up 53.59 gigs. plus i got another 4 gigs of unsorted audio i haven't added to my database yet.
-
82.5gig not counting any video and I don't even know what half of it is. Really need to clean up that drive instead of just dumping stuff there.
-
Can I assume all that music is also legally bought? :p
I only have slightly over 1GB of music which I acquired to find suitable music for WiH. Since WiH's been out for long time now and I haven't used them since, I might just as well delete the dir. Which leaves me with 0MB of music.
When I want to listen to music, I listen to net radios.
-
13.56GB in my main library, plus another 1.55GB or so in another dir that can't be tagged properly so doesn't end up in the main library. 2508 songs, 6 days, 14 hours, 32 minutes and 46 seconds of play time.
-

seriously though i did buy most of it
:nervous:
-
I didn't download it if that's what you mean. Ripped all my CD's and there is always the [cough] xcopy /s *.mp3[/cough] method.
-
Music that's my own? 5~6 albums... and I don't listen to radio very much.
-
I'll have to look up the precise number at some point, but I've got over a gig.
Most of my music is actually not purchased via download, as I prefer to have the physical album. Of which, a fair fraction of that includes Soundgarden and Radiohead. I'm thinking I'll need to get the Melvins' "Stag" album once the time comes around to get another album.
:)
-
On this comp, i have 10673 Songs (69.3GB), another 3782 ( 22.2GB) on my external HD. Not included are Audiobooks, which add another 12GB.
I sold my CDs or gave them to friends, as don't have the room for them. I keep only the "important" ( mostly rare or special editions ) ones, and those who have been given to me as a gift.
-
Over 10gb

Natuorlich.

I have quite a bit ripped from a college radio station--they often spun unknown LP's. Most of it was purchased.
-
4.25+3.87+unknown number due to it not having been transferred yet+unknown number due to it being in .mp4/.flv files because it cannot be obtained in any other fashion+unknown number that is not stored in the large collections+unknown number of video files that often substitute for music by being run in the background.
In other words, I don't know and I doubt it can be found out. :P
-
6.6gb
which winamp reports
1503 tracks
841 artists
351 albums
and there is a large amount of music on CDs that I haven't ripped and ripping music CD's is the bulk source of my music
-
Over 20,000 tracks, 142GB on hard disk. ~20% of which is Touhou music/remixes
I'm not going to wait for winamp to tell me how many hours that is :shaking:
Most was accumulated over long periods of time from CD's bought by myself or friends.
Some was downloaded legally.
And I admit some was downloaded illegally due to being old/obscure and difficult to acquire through legit means. :doubt:
-
Less than 8GB (I only store hand picked tracks on my HD).
-
so i completely dont remember making this thread?

Oh. Don't you remember? The mods held you at gunpoint until you agreed--at which point they pistol-whipped you.
-
perhaps. i know i wasent drunk or high, cause i dont drink or do drugs, and it wasent all that late, strange
-
1207 songs, of which a bit over 900 are direct rips from my CDS. i'm currently at 73 cds physically owned, minus a couple of my parents'/friends' i ripped.
i've also got a rather sizable stash of live recordings, both audio and video, and a large pile of albums i got from one friend that i'm slowly sifting through to find new stuff (will buy the ones i like)

I dunno I'm not counting my CDs.
-
haha my music is all digital, i think i have 1 cd lol.
-
haha my music is all digital, i think i have 1 cd lol.
The only digital music I have is the tracks I get when I rip my CDs. Right now, none of it's ripped as I reformated my HD a few weeks back. So don't have clue.
-
150GB :P
-
so i completely dont remember making this thread?
It was probably split off from another topic.

You people are all NUTS!!!
I have like 5GB.

Hehe, notice repetition a lot?

Hehe, notice repetition a lot?
There are three kinds of people represented here...
1) People who have a few lossy. (<10GB)
2) People who have a lot of lossy. (>30GB)
3) People who have a lot of lossless. (>100GB)

Very true. A typical lossy music file can be around 5MB, while a 16bit FLAC is easily >20MB, and 24bit can pass 100MB. That adds up pretty quick.

I have a grand total of 3341 FLAC files (out of 4321 files), taking up 103GB of my library. I also have a few WAV files and new music that isn't yet represented by that. Anyways, that's an average of 31.5MB/file and about 300 CD's worth of FLAC files. So that means I have about 900-1000 MP3's taking up ~7GB.
-
next to nothing, usually listen to satellite radio roughly
*measures with own feet*
2.5ft from my computer.
-
Very little here, either, I mostly listen to film music, or just jump onto an ambient NetRadio.

On a side-note, I need to upgrade my server. 320GB just isn't cutting it: I'm already using half that and have gigantic archives that I'd like to transfer over.
-
I've got about 24 gigs + change. Pretty much all .mp3s, I only use CDs for mah car.
-
7869 songs. 3 weeks, 3 days, 56 minutes, 9 seconds. 71.4 gigs.
50% FLAC, 30% CBR 320 MP3's, 10% VBR-highest quality MP3, 10% in many other formats.
of all the stuff, maybe 10-20 albums overall are actually owned. some are owned as old, somewhat worn out LP's :p
sue me.
-
yea i have very little FLAC
-
yea i have very little FLAC
I'm adding in the DVD's etc. that I didn't have before. It's >50GB.
In other news, I'm stress-testing the router.
-
Never even though about including albums, tapes, etc. Probably have a few dozen LP's, over 100 45's, couple hundred tapes, and 20 or so 8-tracks. I ripped all my CD's so counting those would be just doubling stuff.

jesus. how old are you?? :P
i've only ever owned ONE cassette. all else is CDs.
-
I actually only got into FLAC or other lossless-type files rather recently, after hearing the difference it made when listening to some ambient groups like Aes Dana. And holy crap what a difference it is. 256kbps? I might as well be listening to it on youtube.

There's also encoder used and packing quality. For example, iTunes has a really ****ty M4A converter. It's permanently in "fastest" mode. When I do use MP3, it's 256kbps & set to "best" mode, even if that does multiply how long it takes to convert. I had iTunes do it once and started playing music and cringed at the ****ty quality before turning it off, wiping it, and going back to ALAC.

~one terabyte between my dad's collection and my own, which is only ~1000 songs and pitiful in comparison.
-
I've got a few gigabytes, spread over numerous backup DVDs and music mp3 CDs. Obviously 20 times smaller than most people seem to have... Or 400 times smaller... ^
