I can play the AoA campaign, but not WIH.

something smells like you got your dependencies wrong or something.
check if your AoA folder is named right according to the wih mod.ini'
that, or you're running an old version of AoA.

This error means your install isn't set up quite right. You can post a fs2_open.log, or just go back through the installation instructions and make sure you've done everything.
Make sure you updated your AoA Director's Cut to the latest version (circa August) before playing.

Apart from what's already been said, are you using an Inferno exe? (like "fs2_open_3_6_12r_INF_SSE.exe")
-
Had that with many mods in the past, indeed when accidently not running an INF build.

Your installation is not quite correct. Make sure you have the AoA Director's Cut, updated to latest version, located in a folder called 'blueplanet', all the blueplanet2 files in a folder called 'blueplanet2' located in the same directory, the 3.6.12 mediavps in a folder called mediavps_3612 in the same directory, and a 3.6.12 or better Inferno build selected in the launcher.
