Title: Need Help Installing FS2 from Downloaded ISO Files
Post by: Corin Elessar on October 27, 2010, 04:18:50 pm
Hey there, I've always heard about FS2 and how great it was, and I finally found a copy online that is supposedly good!  Unfortunately, I'm having some problems.  After I finished the torrent, I had 3 Freespace 2 .iso files that correspond with three cd's, the FS2Open 3.6.5 and a mv_zpack.  I don't really know what to do from here...I double clicked on the first "cd" and it tried to reinstall sonic recordnow.  Do I need to put the files onto a cd and run it that way?

We don't support pirated copies.  Go shell out the 6 bucks and by the game legally and come back.

And under no circumstances will we support "distributions" like that that are cobbled together from old releases.

Don't get us wrong, we really do want you to play, because it really is that awesome. But you can get the game from GoodOldGames for $6, completely DRM-free, and then we'll help you get set up with the much more awesome 3.6.12.
