It might not be as likely as we thought.
According to: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Caprica-Season-1-point-5/14643
The DVD release of Caprica season 1.5 will go ahead as scheduled for December 21st, including the final 5 unaired episodes.
So it looks like we will get to see how the series ended, without having to wait a stupidly long time.
I wonder if this means they aren't going to redo the end of the series to lead it on to Blood and Chrome?
-
I hope they have a 6 month hiatus between every episode of Blood & Chrome. Then they can all sit around a camp fire and express their bewilderment with the show's low ratings as they cancel it. They should also make a DVD release of the pilot a year before it airs on TV so the ratings for the pilot are sufficiently low as well.
Bunch of friggin' geniuses.
-
Nice marketing ploy."Oh, you want to see how the show ends? Well buy the DVD! MONEY!" Sadly, I think I'll fall for it.
-
LOL, the final 5 episodes are being aired up here in Canada already on the SPACE network. The first episode was aired on Nov.2
-
^Heh, you're right, but it's not online anywhere for the rest of us :(
-
SyFy has gotten worse and worse and worse.
They need to fire management.
They have pissed me off with their content and scheduling so badly, I've watched everything online.
I dont even watch the channel anymore.
-
Episode 14 has now made it on to the internets.
-
I should point out that the cancellation of Caprica hasn't changed the fact that we don't support the downloading of episodes on this site.
Go buy the DVDs when they come out or quit *****ing about the show being cancelled. :p
-
So absolutely typical of the Syfy channel. Bunch of idiots...
I won't bother even trying to watch any new shows they put on that channel anymore. What's the use?
-
Yeah I have decided to boycott SyFy from my viewing.
I dont care what they have on until they fire the geniuses managing it now.
-
They're really tryin' everything to not have good ratings.
I think "successfull ratings suck", describes their policy the best.
-
Meh. Every time a good show is canceled there's hordes of angry fans trying to boycott something. Don't boycott anything, just don't watch the stuff you're not interested in. Also, buy DVD's or BluRay's of stuff you are interested in. That'll send a much clearer message than any short lived boycott. Those things just don't have the staying power as most people will just give up on it when they cool down. Tantrums don't impress anyone.
-
Yeah, that's true. A boycott wont help at all.
I have now the full set of BSG DVDs, the Plan it's on it's way ( according to the shop), and Caprica is next.
-
I suspect that like the producers of Star Trek, someone will be kicking themselves in the future for cancelling the show.
-
All too often its poor management and not the product that failed.
-
In this case it definitely is. Caprica's audience fell by about half during the break. Hell I didn't know it was back on until someone made the topic about the episode. And it's pretty obvious I'm not the sort of person who fails to pay attention to the BSG universe. :p
