As you can see, the dock texture on the Aeolus' dock is mismapped. I noticed it after glow-pointing and I wanted to point it out as I have no experience with textures though I bet it's more of a UVMapping bug if anything.

Seems okay to me.
-
Can you explain what's wrong here ?
-
IIRC in previous versions, the warning labels (yellow and black stripes) looked better than that.
-
Did a punny detail like this deserve a new thread, whene there are so many un-HTLized ships hanging around ?
-
Well, yes. This isn't Wikipedia. There's nothing wrong with posting a thread about even a minor issue.
-
What's wrong is that there are strips of the texture which is applied correctly and there are those black, pure black strips in between which mess up the detail.

There are no puns here!
and uh, would you rather me make a thread about every damned ship out there that isn't high-poly stating 'this isn't high poly' or actually DOING something by pointing out a texture error?
-
What texture error?

Take a look between the two, I'm sure you can see the error on the Aeolus.

I hope this is more noticeable.

I'm much more weirded out by the lighting on the protruding rod to the left than the dock texture.
Had--! Fix them both! :)
-
I would but if it's a texture issue I can't since I have no experience with textures and if it's a UVmapping issue (more likely) then I'd need the source files to fix any uvmapping error but I still wouldn't be able to convert it.
Also, that second Aeolus picture has no lighting. :)
