Title: Keeping all mod (folders) in a separate "mods" folder.
Post by: Faraday on November 13, 2010, 04:41:05 pm
I'm not too sure if it's the best forum, but It's probably not the wrong either.

anyways, is there any problem with keeping those extra campaigns in a separate folder (e.g. "mods/Pre Great War Era/Cardinal Spear") instead of them cluttering the root dir?

I tried with some and apparently there's nothing causing issues (graphical enhancements work as intended) but i wanted to make sure.

Edit: If you're spell-correcting thoroughly!

Yes. It will break campaigns with complex dependencies like Blue Planet. It's important not to move or rename mod or MediaVP folders.

I would have been surprised if you would have used a different example. :P

That's because most other campaigns don't have complex dependencies like Blue Planet. Only a few have a multiple-folder structure; maybe even none.

BP's install setup minimizes required download size at the expense of making things a bit more complex.
