Title: how do I contact someone in the FTC?

my mom is going to be selling some useless "ionic power" bracelets this weekend and I want to know if the claims made are currently subject to any FTC rulings.

yes I have gone to the contact us portion of the official FTC website and was not given a clear place to go.

I don't believe they are. There's a lot of ionic woo flowing.

However the very similar Power Balance stuff is apparently bull**** (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-11805616), so draw your own conclusion.

That ion stuff is bull****.  I use this instead.  It works.

well this looks like a smaller company and as such I think they may have made the mistake of making specific medical claims. esp blood flow and sleep aid.

So basicially Q-ray and watch mated into the ultimate wrist accessory*
I doubt it, it'd probably just count as jewelry.
*If you believe in the ionic wrist things, which I personally don't.

Couldn't you just plant drugs on her or something? This seems like a lot of work just to get someone in trouble with the law. :p

thing is theres not a doubt in my mind you could legally prove that products that operate on the placebo effect work, because technically they do. sad thing is these products work on anyone thats dumb enough to believe they work.

Yep you can.  You need one hell of a lot of power but everything can be magnetized at some point.
