I need some help with tS4.
Well first I need to know if when glueing you select LOD0 first and glue it to LOD1 or is it the other way around?
Second what do I name the LOD's?
When I save the glued models I then open PCS and convert to POF. But here is the clencher When I open it in Modelview I can't see the textures. They are in the Maps folder and in PCX. I've changed the texture names like I'm suppose to in modelview so I have no idea why it isn't working.
Thank you for any help you give me.

Don't know about LODs but ModelView32 AFAIK doesn't look in the maps folder for textures. Put it in FRED2 and/or the game.

I really need to change my sig. I don't have FS2. I'm one of the few that only have FS1.

catch me on icq, but if this is for the 158th, i have someone to attach lods, i just need you to model them.

Well, then, you'd try it out in FRED and FS1 instead of FRED2 and FS2. :) ModelView32 can edit and save FS1 models. Not sure about PCS. (But ModelView32 I'm sure could convert a model saved by PCS into an FS1 model.)

Thanx for all the help. But I still would like to know iabout glueing. Do I select LOD0 and then glue the other LOD's to it. Or is it more complicated?
Lt Narol;
This is really for my own mods (if I ever get around to them). Though I would like to try to get better at texturing. BTW I got everything (PSP, Blender, and tS4) that is listed for making FS ships (except a good computer, which I'll be getting within a month).
For Everyone that I'm modding for!
I would like to take a vacation (to catch up) for a while. I will finish what you have sent me though.

use PCS, then after save, use FSMM2 and save as FS1 model. Or use modelview32 and convert it too fs1 after u have used PCS to convert it to FS2 pof.
PCS will convert any groups that has the Detail word in them into a level of detail.
detail0 group should be named detail0 and so on
and the great part is that you don't even have to glue all your detail groups together.
even the shield can be there as a group named shield. without being glued to any of the detail groups.
cob->PCS->FS2 pof->FSMM2 or MODELVIEW32->FS1-POF

Ohh. New stuff to add to my turreting FAQ. Even though it's not directly about turreting. :D

Thanx again! I've ben naming the LOD like this detail01a.
