Well it's that time of year again. . . Snow's imminent. London prepares to grind to a halt. On top of that i'm suffering from a central heating failure.
Bloody crap snow. :(

snow is gay

Ran out of booze? NO!!!!!!!!!!

When you have 6 inches of snow in mid-November AND icy roads that aren't plowed despite the fact that you live in a place that gets significant amounts of snow every year AND your temperatures drop as low as -50°C on a regular basis, THEN you can ***** about winter. :hopping:
-
I wish it snowed down here.
-
Noooooo. Because i'd be used to it :p
Zacky poo. . . . First time ever, I agree completely :)
Dilmah. Where are jooo?
Edit- Dilmah reply added.

Quit *****ing. I live in Wisconsin, (USA). You live with cold here. Get used to cold\snoe or DIE.
-
Oh Pshaw :P
-
I wouldn't mind having another three feet of snow here like last winter. Send your snow over in my direction, Dekker. :3
-
I would like to request that any snow that happens to be reading this topic stay far away from me.

Where in Wisconsin are you? I'm going to UW Madison, and am actually surprised by our lack of snow, although it looks like we might get a little tomorrow. Usually we've had at least a little by Thanksgiving, but not this year. I actually like snow most of the time, except when you have to walk to class or drive in it.
-
Just had the cat come in covered in snowflakes, so my guess is that it's just hit North London :/
It's been raining most of the day, so walking around tomorrow is going to be lots of fun....

Snow rox.

Good luck with that. From the looks of it, I'm going to get hit with a combo of snow and rain tomorrow. The worst though is when snows, then rains and turns everything into a slush, and then freezes again, resulting in a thick crust of ice. Sometimes sidewalks will end up covered in 2-3 inches of solid ice, and salt barely dents it. That just sucks when you have to walk to class.

all our snow got rained on and melted

Try living with that every winter :) (Except the last couple)
It used to snow around here like crazy. Especially when the winds line up down the lakes and dump it on one city or another. We can get 20-40cm in a single storm :)

Pah, you are all weak. Us nordic Vikings have dealt with snow since Odin first made it snow.

Got hit by a snowball in the face by a colleague... I hate that white incarnation of evil :ick:

Statement that diminishes the OP's snow situation, followed by a statement that makes the OP's snow situation pale by comparison.
-
Hah, snow is awesome.
-
Right now when it should almost be winter... it's ****ing 20℃ over almost every day.
I hate global warming.
-
i hate the smush that snow usually becomes when its not cold enough for it to stay frozen.
-
This isn't as funny as last year :P

snow is one thing, slush is something else entirely. i think id prefer having actual snow on the ground the whole winter long and constant freezingish temperatures, than the oscilations between total freezing snowing and warm enough to rain, and too wet to be comfortable. put simply snow > slush.

I suggest investing in proper shoes. I bicycle through that stuff yearly. But solid snow is much better than slush.

**** anyone who doesn't absolutely, unreservedly love snow!
-
i cant say i like snow, but then again i cant say i hate it either.
i can however say that i ****ing hate slush with all the wrath i can muster.

**** me.
j/k I love snow too. I just wouldn't want to deal with it for an entire winter. :ick:
Now a good ice storm on the other hand, that's ALWAYS fun. :D

Misread the underlined word as "fireball". Sorry.
-
I cant see across the parking lot at school due to the extremely heavy snowfall at the moment. Yayz.
-
Snow!
I love snow, though that might just be because its a rare event, and snow in winter usually also means ice skating on natural ice, and that is awesome.
-
Snow is cool, not awesome :nervous: It only snows down here if you're on a mountain, though frost makes it just as bad to drive, especially with the state of some of the roads...
-
I once saw a failblog video of a bunch of people attempting to drive in snow. For once, I found what was supposed to be a fail clip a lot more educational than amusing.
-
Drive a standard, decelerate via downshifting instead of brakes.
-
And start/accelerate slowly (commanded by common sense)
-
we has snow again, nearly a quarter of an inch! wow! i wonder how long till it melts and turns into slush.
