Yo waz up my new homies...Decided to drop by your hood...Ok ill drop the ghetto language, but hey it great to be in a forum again. And i guess it would not be formal for me to join a forum and not have any questions so here are my first two questions....

I just reinstalled FS2 on my computer. For some reason i am having sound difficulties.  The sound usually comes out messed up as in the sound are distorted and sometimes it crackles I have used both directsound and EAX to no avail.  I have a Sound Blaster Audigy and Klipsch 4.1's as my sound setup so anyone who could help would be my new savior.


My second question goes back to history.  I have just downloaded the freespace bible and i must say that i was impressed by it but something has caught my attention.  During the Terran Vasudan war it says that both races were beating each other up and no one was winning.. Does that mean that their tech was equal?  Whos tech is more advanced Terran or Vasudan?

Its your sound card....
i heard that many of the new Audigy cards have the same problem and you should send it back to Creative for the new version

Human and vasudan tech was roughly equal. IIRC the Terrans had better weapons while the vasudans had better engines. The result was a stand still. Neither side could get an upper hand.

It's almost exactly what Karajorma said.  Their ships are at least 10-15 m/s faster than Terrans.  The Vasudans also have a much better destroyer (Typhon[better armor]).  But Terrans have way better weaponry, the Interceptor is example of both races tech.  It's engines were made by Vasudans (that's why it's so freaking fast), and it's warhead was made by Terrans.  BTW, what does IIRC mean?

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly

AFAIK = As Far As I Know

Those are the two I use most often so I thought it better to mention both :)

Exits are located to the rear and left in case of emergency and shotguns are located under the seats :D.
