I think that Nexus is perhaps the best starship command game, in contrast to Freespace which has to be the best space fighter game. Arparso is doing a magnificent job, however he 's alone. I don't know if any of you guys can lend a hand, I 'd imagine there are many Nexus fans around here. I wish I could, however I lack time and the technical expertise to do it.

Even if nobody volunteers to help with the depiction of Freespace from a different angle (that of an admiral rather than a figher pilot), I think you 'd probably want to keep tab of this. Arparso promises to deliver a playable version by Christmas, or at least that what he says so in the forum page I linked earlier.

I have to say, however, I just watched that small video depicting a small skirmish between two Aeolus cruisers and their fighter wing compliment and it was great.

(If there is a specific subforum that this thread should go to, I 'd ask a moderator to send it there. I think this is the appropriate one)

Is he the guy who's been posting here re: his Nexus FS mod? Someone was in touch with HLP about such a project.

I wonder if he got slasher beams to work, since in nexus all beams are for pinpoint attacks on subsystems.
