Title: Do Sticky threads ever disappear?
Post by: Kellan on May 01, 2002, 03:52:30 pm
I was just wondering what happens to them. Do they disappear after no new posts for a while, do they have to be manually removed or do they clutter up the BB for all of eternity? Because eventually they will fill a whole page.

its like locking a topic i think(let me check the little admin options thingy)...yeah it is. Theres a Stick/ Unstick option so its manual.

Yeah, in the admin options there's a selection which says "Stick/Unstick thread". Selecting that will stick or unstick the thread. When a thread is stuck it is automatically ontop of all non-stuck threads. Unsticking it moves it back so it's in order with the others in terms of last post (so if the last post in a stuck thread was 1/4/02 then it'd move back to the rest of the topics with that last post date when it's unstuck).

Makes sense?

That 'Last post time' thingy is too damn clever. If you bump a topic then delete the reply that bumped it, it'll move the topic back down.

Some of those Admin things dont work. I tried to lock a thread and sometimes it goes to a funny white screen.

No. Informational is a perfectly cromulant word.

I think your using it in the wrong context, unless im misinformed as to the true meaning of what you actually meant in your constructive post.

Zero: I'm well aware that I'm coing nonsense words. If you think I'm not, then you're misunderestimating me.

And yes, I did mean it was informative, and thank you...but I was feeling whimsical.

You don't like your new Kellanified name? :D

Okay, I guess I'm just used to shortening names. Mine's Chris, brother is Rob, etc etc...if it bothers you that much, I will use Zeronet from now on.

Being called Zero can have a negative impact on ones mind(although it doesnt for me, just a little joke of mine).

So what's your full name...Z-man-aroonie? Or the more traditional Zack, Zed (yes, I know someone called Zed) or Zednanreh?

For once the true meaning was not hidden behind clever words.

What? I don't use overly elaborate words when modestly sized ones will suffice. :)

And cromulant isn't even a word! :p

Thy is mistaken as to the true purpose of ones post, for i was refering to myself in such a respect and thustly did not say you used elaborate wording in any of your posts.

Careful when arguing that kind of stuff with Kellan. His literary powers crushed the Sol rebellion after all... :D
