I have a really weird thing ... Just downloaded the new .12 Build of FSO with new Launcher for windows. (5.5g) But the launcher is showing in the mod section nothing when a grey picture without any option showed up. I have Windows 7 64x what i do wrong.
Sry guys hope you can help me. :confused:

We can almost definitely help you. Do you have the .12 Build selected in the launcher? Can you select a debug builds (ends in -d or -debug), run that, then post the fs2_open.log from FreeSpace2/data/?

I'm silly . Have forgotten to give the launcher an path to the fs exe :nervous:
But know other problem: Always I start FSO it kicks the program into the task bar. Sound is running, program to but I can't go back to it. Problem is also in other older Games: GTA San andreas, Starlancer.

Can you post a debug log as per the instructions above? Should help us figure out what's wrong.

Weird. Know it runs. Without changing anything ver weird... try know other games^^
And know... it didn'T run again.
debug didn't do anything because ther isn oerror it seems more an windows PRobllem becuase other older games have the same problem. It kicks always in to the task bar, than I can go back to the program for less than a second and I'm back on Desktop.

Then I'm curious as to how exactly you've been trying to run the game.
Open the Launcher. That is, Launcher.exe.
On the top right corner you should see a "Browse" button. Click it.
Now you should see the contents of your \freespace2\ folder. Normally you'd select a regular build, such as fs2_open_3_6_12_INF_SSE2.exe (notice that little "r" in there). This time, solely for tech support purposes, we'd like you to select a build that says fs2_open_3_6_12d_INF_SSE2.exe or something like that. "3_6_12" and "d" are the key words here.
Now, click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the Launcher.
Now click "Run". FSO will now start using the build you selected. Since it is a debug build, it will automagically generate a ****ing awesome file called "fs2_open.log". It will be stored into your \freespace2\data\ folder.
Run the debug build until you get to the main hall, then quit. Then, please post your "fs2_open.log" file here somehow. Either upload it somewhere, attach it to your post or post its contents (it is a simple text file).
That is, in case of any future problems.

Ok I got what you mean. And Sorry for some Grammer and writing mistakes I'm from Germany.
I've give you the log file to download in the attchment.
Edit: It seems that it sometimes run without any problem. But mostly i have this "going in to task bar" problem.

Huh. Are your graphics drivers updated?
Could this be an issue with the German language setting?

You no longer need the CD in your drive. That's not the cause of your problem, I just saw the f: stuff in your log and thought I'd mention it.
Possibly Windows Firewall came up and asked you whether to continue blocking "some aspects" of FS, which would force focus away from the game? That happens whenever I run a clean install for the first time.

Try running in a window and see what happens!

IIRC there is an issue with having a f drive. Try renaming the drive. I'd search for it but for some reason I'm not allowed to search the forums.

hmm I think i have the solution: Its the resolution of the movies... afte4r the movies it runs witth out problem so windowed mode have the problem solved... but hmm thanks ;)
