Here's my first attempt at a fighter. I built it in truespace and blender but took the pics in google sketchup. :)

looks nice.
I advise to not switch between applications when modelling, stick with one.
From the three you mentioned i'd recommend Blender.
-
Cool
Is it for FS?
-
Looks like a Talon from the game Privateer a bit. Nice concept!
-
Once I figure out blender I'm going to try to make it for FS.
-
It's looking good so far; like the design. Reminds me of the Sabre from Starlancer (which i also liked so extra kudos! :))

A few more!

Blender's ****in' awful. Sketchup is better if you know what you're doing, IMO.
Anyone who responds to this in disagreement, great for you, I don't care, I'm not changing my opinion. You get what you pay for with Blender. :p
As for your models...first tip; use the "soften edges" command under "Window" - it'll get rid of all that geometry from showing up.
Next tip, stop working in straight extruded primitives. With Sketchup it's is a bit of a pain to get good, flowing geometry, but you can do it by extrusions - pull out a profile, scale it, pull it out again, scale it, etc, that's how you get organic shapes, or at least rounded metal ones.

I like the shape of those wings. It's not something I've seen much before, but it seems appropriate for spacecraft. Reminds me a little of Star Wars EU's Cloakshape fighters.

Here's some nicer looking pictures of them.

So are you making a whole line of ships from a fighter to a juggernaut?
-
Working on it. The meshes, anyways. I don't have the slightest clue what to do after that.

Looks like a Terran cruiser incorporating Shivan features. In my view, consider it a technological successor to the Hades in terms of Shivan tech inclusion, though in cruiser form. The main hull looks too blocky for FS2 era, so its either a post-Capella return to blockyness, or a post Silent Threat GTI design in a scenario where the Hades rebellion succeeded in overthrowing the Provisional GTA government, leading to a GTI-controlled Terran fleet.

Now that has some interesting possibilities

The designs are nice, but however, your models have geometry errors that will make FS2 go crazy methinks. Overall, not a bad attempt for a novice modeler.
