Title: Landscape Converting
Post by: Nyctaeus on December 22, 2010, 05:08:54 pm
We're working on landscape for Shadow Genesis, with my friend. It's a big island with a few volcanic mountains and ocean around. It's made in frozen theme and is has 57k polys. When my friend have tried to import it to Truespace, uvmapping has dissappeared o__O. So, is there any special method for converting a high poly landscapes?

Part of it. One model has lost whole UV mapping, but the rest remained untouched.

yeah, that's happens, when going via TS. Why do you do that anyway?
One step that helped there, was going the route: app--->lithunwrap--->TS--->PCS2

Not sure if lith can handla a near 60k poly model.

You might want to go via Blender.
