Hi, guys.

Before asking why the hell am I so stupid, you should know that I do not have any FS2 multiplayer experience.

I just want to know how to play FS2 online (retail). I've tried to play FS2 online, but when I enter on the "lobby", I don't find any servers. Could anyone help me about this crap? D:

Join #hard-light channel on irc.esper.net for troubleshooting and game coordination.

It could be either that there's simply no one playing at the time, or something went wrong and you didn't connect to FS2NetD correctly. Either way, these things are much faster to iron out on IRC rather than on forums.

The only way to play online with retail these days is to use direct IP connections, as the old PXO is long gone - To do this, you simply add the IP address of the person hosting the game you want to join to the server list in the multiplayer options, make sure the PXO button is turned off, and then go to the briefing room from the main hall. If you want to use FS2NetD, however, you will need to use FreeSpace_open instead of retail.

Regardless of what you do, though, taking the advice above and joining the IRC channel is definitely a good idea. That's where most games get started.
