Title: Really simple question re installing 3.6.12

Please try to refrain from ridicule!! I have jusrt opened the ZIP file for the 3.6.12 inferno and there are 6 files in there. Do I transfer all into the root of FS2?
There are Fred opens, FS2 opens, exe's, pdb's...al sorts. I can only assume it is a really noob question as I can't find the answer on any other posts.

Yes. Put them all in your root FS2 folder.

Wow, that was quick. And thanks for the welcome. I have not had much free time lately but played this breifly earlier this year. Kept it on as I think it is the best game and group of dev's around. Just about to sign up for regular donations and get back into it properly. Can't wait.

Hi all, another simple question. Why do I have
fs2_open_3_6_12r_INF_SSE2_RC2
&
fs2_open_3_6_12r_INF_SSE2
Which do I point the launcher to.

Delete fs2_open_3_6_12r_INF_SSE2_RC2. Use the other one.

An explanation for the curious: the one with "RC2" at the end was a "Release Candidate". That is, an older version of the game engine that was considered to be very good already but might have had small bugs in it.
