Got FS2 from 'Great Old Games'; so I downloaded the FS-open project; just get started I began with 'silent threat'; right at the menu it said it would be a better experience if I played 'ST-Revisited'--so searched it out & tried to fire it up---FIRST THING I got was a message that 'this mod has caused over 68 errors...' blah blah blah', but I pressed ahead; as soon as I started my first mission I got a 'crash'...
So...I don't care about solving it...I was just wondering if ST Revisited was all that much better than the original (well...the ported) ST & if I was really missing anything not playing it..
Thx, ahead of time

Silent Threat: Reborn is so much better than the original Silent Threat that they cannot compared.

Post your log and one of the mod will kindly help you

It's worth any trouble it takes to get it working. But hey, while you're awaiting more useful replies than mine, play through the original ST. Once you get ST:R up and running you'll have a greater appreciation for how much work the FSPort team put into it.

It should be trivially easy to get ST:R working. Post a debug log and we can solve the issue (check the troubleshooting FAQ over in support if you're unclear on how to get one.)
And yes it's worth it, it is about 400 times better than the crappy original ST.

OK that sounds like a ringing endorsement if there ever was one....I shall try to post the error message.

You could still play Silent Threat just to see how much better ST: R is.

Sounds like you don't have FSPort or the MediaVPs installed correctly.
But it's very worth it.
