Along with a new series of Stamps, Gerry Anderson announces a new series of Thunderbirds....

 and ppl on here says sci-fi is dying
seriously good news

Oh my God, this is brilliant! :D
Although I'm not sure I could take some kind of new series seriously if it wasn't done with puppets, had invisible strings, and voice actors that at least sounded similar.

Sounds interesting, I wonder how close it'll be to the original series. Recently I came across a Japanese anime version of Thunderbirds (Thunderbirds 2086 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zowhg6l9RUc&feature=related)), which reminds me somewhat of Battle of the Planets.
Heh. Stingray...Terrahawks (anyone seen that?)... I wonder if those will be revisited someday.
Incidentally, I've been watching clips of Star Fleet / X-Bomber, which I had never heard of until a few weeks ago; it seems to have been strongly Gerry Anderson inspired.

Used to watch Starfleet when I was young. I even, embarassingly enough, have the Brian May cover of the theme on an album somewhere :nervous:

Barry Hercules =
If only I'd watched Star Fleet instead of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

 Brian May has to be one of the best guitarists of the last 40 years. Hold onto that album!
