The geography here, particularly in regards to various offensives and diplomatic missions mentioned in the books, doesn't (and probably can't) make sense.

Also, the presence of even vaguely habitable worlds in the galactic core is giggleworthy. :P

I don't think that whoever came up with this realized just how big galaxies are. Seems that way to me, anyway.

I'm pretty sure it's been around for awhile.

Here is one that the team working on Phoenix Rising mod for Empire at War use:

Just because the planet was destroyed doesn't mean the star system still isn't there and marked on the map as the place the planet used to be.

If it is for a setting pre New Hope it dont matter cause the planet is still there
