Hey,
guess this was asked before, but isn't there any fredder, who is able to repair this mission to the point, that all allied warships can fire their beams and the engines of the Colossus aren't disabled?

Multiple FREDders have done so. All you need to do is add a sexp that beam-frees the allied warships after they have all arrived.

I can't remember for certain if the Colossus' engines are disabled in this one, but allied ships do put up more of a fight IIRC.

If someone explain how to fix it, I would try it myself:)

Kazan had a solid remake released a while back; I think his is my favorite.

All right.
I was finally able to get a view at the tables...but every time I edited them and saved my changes...it simply did not save these changes...
I'm using Descent Manager VPview32 and open the files with an editor...
Suggestions?

You should not edit the tables in the retail VPs. You should extract the mission or table, place the resulting text file in /data/(tables or missions) in a mod folder, select the mod and use it (using a multimod to add MVPs if you want).
Also you shouldn't need to edit tables for this...

Yeah, basically what is happening is that the file you're editing is actually an extracted copy in a random temporary directory. Which means that when you save, that doesn't modify at all the content of the VP.
