Title: U.S. Players
Post by: Phoenixzion on January 21, 2011, 01:15:26 pm
I'm dying to play regularly. For me at least one or two games an evening. Problem is that I'm on EST and I'm from Florida. All of the scheduled games are in the UK, which causes big problems for anyone that's not on that side of the Atlantic.
I'm all set up FSO wise and I've gotten that figured out. I just want to play with some people that are in a similar time zone as me.
I have the same name in IRC, and you can PM here. If we have enough interest I may toy with a US side standalone server so that we can get more FSO games going.

Hope to hear from some of you.

The only standalone servers currently active are US-based, so your poll is somewhat superfluous....

Hey I'm a new guy anyways.
I wasn't aware that they were all US based. That doesn't eliminate the fact that the hours I can play are devoid of other players. (Generally 8pm-11pm EST)   :nervous:
Maybe I'm missing a post or something here but I never see any servers up lately. Only time I see a standalone now is if someone has deliberately started one up to run a game. As it stands now. If I want to host a game I have to give my IP address out.
Honestly I just want some "scheduled games" that I can actually play in.
Thanks for the clarification!

I generally only see multi games start up on IRC during about those times, maybe slightly earlier and playing into those times but still.

You changed the poll question after I voted.

Incidentally, surely it should be "Yes/Don't care" rather than Yes/No :P
