I wonder how 'old' the still active population of HLP is.

Da heck? :nervous:

I took a few months to register - after all, I didn't want to join that upstart new community, it was doomed to failure, and all the cool stuff was on the VBB. :p
-
I had an account back in 2005ish though didn't do much and went inactive for a couple of years so I think it got cleared out when that purge of inactive happened ( 2006 or something like that) cause I had to re-register

I blame VWBB closing. :nervous:
-
I pointed people at HLP as the modding centre for FS2 for quite a while before joining it myself.
-

Took a couple of years off of FS2 for RTCW before coming back mostly because I had no idea any of this existed. After PXO and the VBB went down kind of lost touch.

Lots of lurking around... :nervous:
Plus one year off FS in the middle I think.

Right about the time VBB closed.
-

Suspect I'm one of the oldest non-VBB survivors on the board. They all still call me noob. :(

Nearly a decade, now. I joined right about the time Ross 128 kicked the bucket.
And yes, that's about 350 posts, in nine years and nine months.
-
I'm around here since 2005 - but finally registered July 18, 2010, 12:12:20 am :)
-

Started lurking here before the VBB went down, I think, but I never actually went there. I am amazed I'm still below a thousand posts
-
2nd November 2001. Was one of the first games I learned how to Mod after my attempts at Homeworld just led to one frustration after another :)

Same here. HLP also had a focus on modeling and rendering back then, while most of the mission designers were still hanging around the VBB.
-
27-03-2002. About the time VBB went down, I guess.
-

Nearly six years feels like a lot less with all these VBB alumni here.
-
Smidge over 2 years here. Lots of you guys are ancient :P
-
About 4½ years now. It's been a while. I've been more or less active on forums for around 6-7 years.

About a week.....:P
-
January 17, 2006, 06:27:42 pm, Lurked regularly for years before ever registering and posting though. I remember not reading the board for a week or two and missing the whole Derek Smart fiasco. Haven't gone more than a few days without at least checking the board ever since.

Not quite three years. I have no idea why I've been on HLP for so long.

not quite 3 years, came over when BrTL broke up and Diaspora started up.

I'd have about four times the posts I have now...but my e-penis got circumcised years back when GD posts stopped counting :(

Oh, lol. :D

Working on three years - I came here after BtRL died on Game Warden. Seeing as Game Warden in general seems to be the retarded sibling of HLP (/points at SoL fanbois), I'm glad I did regardless.

A great many inches were lost that day, by many people, I was on around 13,000 posts iirc ;)

About a month after the official start of FringeSpace.

Almost six. I remember I was desperately trying to find a way to get FS2 legally. I found karajorma's FAQ first, then ended up here. I eventually bought FS2 on eBay for like 20 bucks or something after pirating it and wanting the real thing.
-
Today is my two year anniversary on HLP.
January 22, 2009, 05:08:00 pm
Little less than three hours here until it's exactly two.

Nov '09, after lurking for a year or so.
-
my user id is 57, I have you all beaten
-
it'd be amusing if Shrike or Kier appeared all out of a sudden :p
also, due to user ID's, Kier created HLP as a standalone forum or what?
as a side note, i'm coming up into my 7th year here.
sweet satan, i joined when i was 14...
-

Five years, three months, four days today.
-
1 year and a half. But my previous experience with HW2 modding helped me greatly to get integrated here :).
-
2 years ish, I think.
EDIT: ok, 2, closing on three.
-
Lurked for a long time before joining, as in I remember the vbulletin and the heated FS3 debates.

its scarier when you notice the **** you spewed in the bygone ages...

I remember I joined up when I needed some help with Derelict. Wow, that was a long time ago.
its scarier when you notice the **** you spewed in the bygone ages...
Oh I can attest to that. I'm embarrassed by quite a few things I said on forums (not just this one) when I look back on them.
-
i dont even want to remind myself of everything i spewed around here.
-
Yes, I remember some of the....colorful things you've said here :p
-
I think all of the longer term members have done/said things in the past they feel a bit silly for now, probably best not to drag them up ;)
-
Oh come on, we used to bring up the Klangers all the time...
-
It'll be ten years in may. Oy vey.
-
Just passed the five year mark.
It feels longer than that, somehow...
-
Oh come on, we used to bring up the Klangers all the time...
Well, some moments are just....pivotal ;)

Coming on six years and I'm still the resident n00b.
-
Buh, I joined in May '03 and lurked the VBB and VWBB for years before that. I remember when glow maps were cutting edge. :nervous:

Coming on six years? but you registered Nov '06, that would make just over four. :nervous:

Ah, I fondly remember the first screenshots of glowmapped ships :)
I joined in October'03 to file some SCP bug report (there was no Mantis yet back then IIRC), and had to move here permanently when the VWBB was closed.... it feels like ages ago.
-
Such a long time :) According to my user profile I'm 2 days away from 10 years so I marked down 10 years.
-

Almost 10 years... crikey. But I do remember just registering myself back then and still be more active on VBB than here... IF I remember right that is.
-
September 23, 2005, 08:05:50 pm
So, a bit over 5 years. I lurked for a bit before that. I think I found this place like someone else mentioned earlier in the thread. I was looking for a legal way of getting a copy of FS2. I remembered one of my old room-mates highly recommended it years earlier. Eventually, I bought a used copy on eBay. I kind of wonder how many of us took that route.
Mostly, I still lurk.

I did insta-math 2011-2006 = 5 :p

Sure, five years, in November. You can't be getting close to six years, when you're still ten months away from hitting the five-year mark.

Total Time Spent Online:
29 days, 11 hours and 42 minutes.

Joined up on the 27th of March in 2007, 2 days before my 12th birthday. Been online for 85 days, 12 hours, and 9 minutes apparently.
-
71 days, 14 hours and 24 minutes.
Much less than I expected :nervous:
-
Since December 15, 2008, 09:09:14. Intriguing. I joined when I had some issues for FS2, and was then told I was basically doing it wrong. I lurked then, I lurk now. Muaha

10 days, 17 hours and 3 minutes spent online.
