Title: Can´t play BP cause of strange error

I have a fresh installation of FS2Open. Tried running it with me mediavps as selected mod and everything worked fine.
But when I try playing Blue Planet I can´t get further the missiom briefing! When the briefing begins the game gets minimized and I get this error message:

Some of my system specs
OS: Win7 32bit
and I´m using a quad core ... that kernel things soundlike it could have something to do with the cpu ...

Seems like you are missing an interface file. I'm not sure if that one is supposed to be in BP, MediaVps or just FS2 VPs.

EDIT: It's in MediaVPs MV_Root. Your mod.ini or installation is wacked.. log should help us sort it out.

Here´s the log file I hope it helps cause I don´t realy know what could be missing ... by the way I have a german installation of the game but that should be alright or?

Well, there's your problem. You are missing MV_Root.vp altogether. Please download it from the 3.6.12 MediaVPs release thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=70736.0). Also, get the three patches for the MediaVPs from the second post of that thread.

Thanks for the help, now it works and I allready enjoyed some missions :)

Sorry for doublepost but I have an issue again ... everytime when I start the game it´s minimizing then I have to klick on it in the task bar to maximize it, then it´s again minimizing and so on, this repeats several times till I can realy play it ...

You have no browser (e.g. Firefox) open in the taskbar while doing this, do you?

If so - there are two solutions:

1. Close the browser window
2. Bring the window up and then start the game

Yup, problems like that will generally occur only if some kind of background process is causing the minimizing. If it's not an active browser window or some other program, pop open Task Manager and start looking for less obvious things running which could be causing it - backup software or antivirus programs for example.

In a worst-case I'd expect running in windowed mode would serve as a workaround too.

It may also be the Firewall prompting for permissions. ??
