My FRED2 missions aren't showing up in the tech room/single player missions list even though I saved my mission in data/missions.
Please help!
-
Are you saving them into the /data/missions folder for the mod you have selected, or directly into FreeSpace2/data/missions in the event of no mod?
-
I'm saving them directly into the FreeSpace2/data/missions (No mod just a custom mission I created with FRED2)
-
Did you make them part of a campaign or something?
-
They don't happen to have something additional to their extension, right? They are *.fc2 *.fs2 files and not something else?
Can you run a debug version of FRED2 and post the fred2_open.log (in code tags) showing an open and save of one of the mission files in question?
-
I think they should be .fs2, not fc2.
-
Heh. Whoops. I obviously need to sleep some more. Edited post to correct mis-type.
-
Where directory do you have FS2 installed to and what OS? Might be sticking them in another directory if fs2 is under program files or my documents.
-
FIXED, apparently the file name cannot be too long or it won't show up in the single player missions list >.<
-
I've also encountered that problem, although in my case it would still show up, but just say "file not found" and not launch anything.

Hit Shift+N to bring up mission specs in FRED. Check that the missions are single player and not multiplayer.
edit: Forget that, didn't read.
