Title: GTF Durandal -- Released!
Post by: starwolf1991 on January 30, 2011, 04:54:23 am
After much wait and effort, I'm proud to say the GTF Durandal is ready for duty!

(The Above Link is the 1.1 Version; Use this instead of the 1.0 version.)

"Nankam Aeronautical's Durandal is the spiritual successor to the Hercules assault fighter family. It is the also the first fighter commissioned under the 'Guardian' Initiative project, a response to future Shivan threats and drastic change in technological standards. While deviating from traditional design ethics, the Durandal surpasses expectations for an assault fighter, combining high durability with moderate firepower and maneuverability. This has been achieved without major sacrifice to energy efficiency or loadout capacity. A combat evaluation period is currently in effect, and despite expensive costs, widespread deployment has already been planned."

I must also give praise to Gas Powered Games. The GTF Durandal was largely based off the Wasp Superiority Fighter, an atmospheric fighter exclusive to the United Earth Federation (UEF) in Supreme Commander 2. Without that, the Durandal might have turned out a lot differently.  :P

Enjoy the GTF Durandal, my fellow freespacers!
