Oh wow...I always meant to try getting into that series, and I actually own one or two of them, but I never managed to get around to it.  I know that many many people have loved his work; this is a big loss. :(

I remember reading all of his books that were available in my elementary school library.

:(

Loved the books as a kid, collected them all up to... erm, the one with the grey foxes. Marlfox. Then I kinda outgrew them, but christ alive did I read those books to death.

Still, enjoyed them for a time. So this kindof sucks..

Don't have Medieval 2, but I'd get it if I had that.

I always thought the redwall books would make a cool cg animated film.

I always thought the redwall books would make a cool cg animated film.

I keep getting ideas for exactly this only to have them repeatedly squashed by "Oh yeah, I don't have movie rights. ****."

Really sad to see him pass away, I've still got shelves filled with his books from when I was younger, they were a great read (I read The Long Patrol first, and ye gods, I still have fond memories of it). My thoughts are with his wife and sons at the moment.

All I can say is -

Eulalia! Give 'em blood and vinegar!

Just saw this thread; that's too bad...I was crazy into his books.

When we had a playground "brawl" in the 4th grade (threw acorns at one another) his books inspired me to use crude military tactics to win against the superior force. :D

A Redwall MOD would kick ass.
