Title: Need installation help.

Hey everyone, I would just like to say that this mod looks amazing and I appriciate all the time it took to create.  =)

I however am having trouble getting the mod to run correctly, here are the steps I have taken.

1.) Installed Freespace 2

2.)Installed the blue planet core files to the blue planet folder located in my freespace 2 directory. (Core, Visuals 1 and 2, Audio 1 and 2)

3.) Installed the advanced visuals to blue planet folder.

4.) I attempt to install the MediaVPs 3.6.12 files by selected the four options available, after I do this I get an error stating that "FreeSpace Open 3.6.10 Windows Executables" cannot be found. (I continue with the installation anyway.)

5.) After these steps I am not sure where to place the fs2_open 3.6.12 Inferno files, I usually place them in my freespace 2 directory.

6.) When I use the launcher, I select the mod and then tinker with the features until I have what I prefer and then start the mod.

After the into cinematic I get an error screen saying that the mod has generated 50 errors. I'm not sure what to do at this point, i've looked through the installation post as well as the troubleshooting post and I am still running into these errors. I apologize in advance if my explanation is vague, If any log files are needed please let me know. I really appriciate any help that could be offered.

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E6500 2.93GHz
Ram: 6gb DDR2 (4gb usable)

Thank you very much The E, I downloaded and installed based on the instructions in the link you provided and everything seems to be working now. I initially downloaded a file called freespaceopeninstaller off of a different website expecting that it would install the mvps as stated in the installer.... Anyways I really appriciate the quick replys.

Logfile should help us sort it out, thanks for getting on that. Installation is a bit complex and we're looking at ways of reducing said complexity; no shame in asking for help.

The 3.6.12 Mediavps are either not, or not correctly installed. This should be corrected.

Also, you don't need to have any CDs in your optical drive.
