I was bored and started to think that FS1 would be alot cooler if you flew as the UEF instead of the GTA, so....
...I present 1 hour of work and the first 6 missions FS1. War in Heaven style.
Just stick in your Mission folder and play in WiH.

And here I was hoping somebody had saved me the trouble of pitting WiH UEF against FS2 Shivans as a sort of alternate-terror-universe where they didn't get the GTVA.

So I've played some missions and must say:
1) Nice idea!
2) Mission design is really similar to the original, but there are few things to change. The funniest thing was when the vasudans kill the shivans in the third mission instead of being killed by the shivans^^
3) Missions are nice with the UEF fighters, but they are far superior than the vasudans. Would be better if you increase the difficulty (more fighters, attacking cruisers, surprises etc.). And yes, even with the missions where you fight the shivans.
4) Please change the availability of the Rapier. Imbalanced in the first (shildless) missions. And the Kentauroi should be available later.
5) It must be an entire campaign. I don't want to click through the tech room to find the missions :P

Here's the same missions but they've been tweaked a bit! It shouldn't be such a shivan slaughter now!

In the 3rd or 4th mission in the directives section its says to protect the Galatea, but you are escorting the Napoleon O.O

yeah, I need to change that and some other things still.

But still a great idea , destroying vasudans with a superior uef fighter is @$&$ing amazing (:

I'm working the the Doomsday mission right now...Putting a Solaris in place of the Orion really makes it interesting when the Lucifer jumps in. Quite a nice touch, all those nukes being launched to no effect!

In the mission were you escort the shield prototypes, Rama 1 was a wing of three Ulysses :wtf:
I suppose they stand in for the Scorpions for the moment, right?

yeah, I have to figure out what I want them to be still.

Try Astaroths, like Scorpions, they're quite flimsy and lightly armed.
You'd need to add more of them though, as they're even weaker than Scorpions (unless I'm completely mistaken and there's a better FS2 approximation for Scorpion).

Part of a later set of missions. Of these three my favorites are Evangelist and Doomsday.

More Capships blasting each other, and that infamous "Playing Judas" mission...in an Ainsarii.

Two things.
1. Make an actual campaign out of this.
2. Add way more Dirk and Dart to the loadout screen for all your missions. 100 of each is nowhere near enough to outfit multiple wings a single wing, not when they're mounted on ships by the 40 and 80, respectively.

In "Darkness and Light" you should make the Scalpel available as a weapon, and give it to the wingmen as default. As far as the pilot knows, they should disable the Ramses without destroying it. And even with Vulcans the Ramses is dead long before you can disable and disarm it.
In "playing Judas" the Eva and Lucifer can't be scanned.
And the last mission was a bit frustrating. I'm sitting in a bomber, loaded up to the roof with bombs and all the enemy capitol ships blow up before I can get in range, except for one, which is invulnerable. :sigh:

Yes. It's because the models aren't properly optimized. We're working on an optimization patch for Steve-O's models, it's close to done.
