A new version of the Banshee is now avaliable, this one has smoothing, debris, minor fixes and new interface art.
You can click the above link or get it from the OTT website (which has slighty different interface art)
The next and final releases for a long time will be the GTB Jotun and Phobos-A...

*que's up French guy from Monty Python*
Ooohaahh....Its very nice-a!
-
Me gusta. :p
-
This'll be the last version of the Banshee I hope :)
-
An INSIG addition would be nice :)
-
I don't use POF CS for conversions so probably won't get it :)
-
You should :)
-
Why?
If I use it, ships converted by POF CS are real buggy and have a lot of fly through faces. That's why I stick to COB2FS2 :)
-
Talk to some of the guys on the TBP team or Bobboau. No problems whatsoever. They still want a bit more functionality but its lightyears ahead of the old POF2COB. You use the latest version?
-
Every ship I convert using POF CS saving from truespace 5 as a V5 or V4.3 COB leads to fly through faces, also it doesn't smooth it. I use the old DOS COB2FS2 version not the windows POF2COB :)
I don't need any fancy function stuff anyway :D
My ships are less than 4000 polys usually, shields less than 800 and I do my own POF data so don't need the auto generated stuff.
COB2FS2 does me fine mostly :)

It has smoothing now..albeit on every model it converts.
To be honest, I've never had a prob with either cob2pof or PCS.
-
Well I'll stick with my good old converter :D

I am really having trouble runing that converter. I wanted to convert some models but I can't. I run the crud and it just stops working before my very eyes :jaw:
Can you send me the converter? please? :)

I knew it! The Raynor was converted by POF CS!
-
I have probs with most ship converted by POF CS, except for fighters :)
It makes a few faces unstable not the entire model.
-
No problems with TBP...all or 90% of our models are POF CS convereted. Did you use the latest version? And it seems that the mass calcs are off on all POF convereters at the moment.
-
V1.1.01 - Release Build 57 Special Build 7 is the version I currently use, mostly for paths.
-
I agree about POFCS. I always get these really annoying BSP errors. I'll just stick with my COB2POF.
EDIT: Wrong program.
-
and I'll stick to COB2FS2 :)

now I know why you all have fly-through faces....
the bsp error indicates that it cannot fix geometry, which usually happens when you have touching faces. The bsp error is saying it cannot fix any more of your crappy modelling ;) (j/k)
I have had no errors besides that error when I had one to many touching faces, and have never had a prob with it in game.
-
Can I use it in the ITHOV campaign?
-
Don't see why not :)
