Birefringence - Erik McClure (http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/401086)
This song is very, very weird. You have been warned.
EDIT: Wait, should I have posted this in the art forum? Crap.

Doesn't seem weird at all.
-
There's... nothing weird about that song. Welcome to the world of not-completely-mainstream music, I guess?
-
But it's his own song. I would think that he knows what mainstream music is.
-
I did a lot of weird stuff involving mashing 8-bit sounds with techno style crazy sound manipulation and conventional instruments, which as far as I know is not particularly common in any musical circle. Either way, it was certainly weird considering my usual style.
-
Birefringence is actually a real word?!! I should know, having done physics and all, though they never mentioned it...
To me it seems to get repetitive after a while; maybe it is just the "8-bit" instrument sound that gets irritating on some speakers. Generally I don't mind repetitiveness in songs too much; I can listen to 'Soar' for ages and still not get fatigued ;)

It sounds like a super super fast version of something that might fit into Deadmau5's category. Check out his stuff.

This isn't weird, Revolution 9 is weird.

Except his stuff annoys the crap out of me.

Heh, the first few seconds of the song remind me of the phrase "Press Play on tape" and a bunch of colorful lines on the TV screen :P
