Can any pls fix the GTSG Mjolnir's POF file pls.
The problem: it's on the wrong angle :ick:. other words the top of it (or what is mean't to be the front :p) needs to rotated 90 degrees so the top of it faces on the X axis not the Y axis. This is why the GTSG Mjolnir it hard to use in custom missions (the "face to" does not work :wtf:). i'll do it myself but i have trouble with the texturing part of model making .
oh here is the file for it.
7-Ziped and heres a normal zip for those how don't have 7-zip

Actually, the model doesn't need anything more than a simple rotation in PCS2. No need to remake it or anything like that.
I've been thinking about doing exactly that. However, it's been that way since Retail, and many campaigns have opted to just rotating the model's position in FRED and calling it a day. (Like: Derelict). Which would mean that not only would a corrected model have to be included for them, but their missions would have to be corrected as well. Or the older, non-rotated model provided for use.
This issue is currently under deliberation. There is a fixed-point orientation model (it even has docking points and path's applied to it) around here some where. But at the moment, that version is not in the MediaVPs but I'm hoping it will be for the next Release, specifically because of this problem.
(Unfortunately, the problem then get's even MORE complex when you go to play a "Made for Retail" scenario and there is no older, non-rotated model in place, instant breakage)

GTSG Mjolnir#fixed?
-
Possibly, but I'd rather not use even MORE ship slots, especially for Retail. Though, Mjolnir#Home isn't actually USED anywhere...

Just stop using retail (or made for retail) and move on?

rotation in PCS2
Is there a tutorial for this? I've tried and given up so many times. :(
-
I think there's a dockpointed and correctly rotated Mjolnir up on FSMods.
-
using a recent build of PCS2. make sure header is set on the left side of the screen then in the top right should be a button that says transform, click that. rotate should be the default option so set the axis ( x is probably your best bet and i think default ) and the angle in degrees you wish to rotate it (90.00), click ok, and boom your model has been rotated, click save, then if necessary navigate to the required folder, check the name and save. If the name is different to an existing model file then you will need to amend/create a new entry for it in the ships table, i would recommend copying and pasting an existing entry changing the $name to be different to the existing entries and $POF file: lines to match your new model file name

yer it can be a pain to find, the only reliable way i can find it is to use the links Spicious signature
currently http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~samm/pcs2.7z
you might want http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~samm/dlls.7z depending on which version you have

Many thanks! Finally I get my rotated Mjolnir with a dockpoint! :P

Just use the regular old dockpointed Mjolnir I made - it keeps retail compatability, and makes it easy to aim.
Dock it to an Argo, and then use "face to object" on the Argo :P

thx for the help guys. ;)
Mainly to both Headdie and Qent.
Headdie thx for the files to upgrade PSC2 it helped  (mainly due to i always had a problem with wireframes in it)
And Qent thx for the "fixed" file. but you still need to fix the sub-objects rotation axis (they are still set to the old one, the y axis ) just set them to the z axis it fixed it.
Thx :p

Haha thanks. I guess I should have tested it in a mission. Here's a fixed one for anyone else: http://www.mediafire.com/?xk19816sgl49ede
