1. What is WCHF about?
Wing Commander: Hostile Frontier is a fan-made addon for WCSaga. The player takes the role of the rookie pilot Jonathan Darrel, callsign "Rider", who has just entered service in the Free Republic of the Landreich Navy aboard the FRLS Independence.

2. Significant Progress
To show "significant progress", I have tons of screenshots on CIC and HLP showing off my most recent progress. I've also released a 3.6.12 upgrade for the WCSaga Prologue on the CIC's birthday, which features upgraded weapon effects, normal maps, resmoothed models, and 3.6.12 compatibility. The 3.6.12 mod is also sort of a "modder's résumé", since I also included texture maps for the Standoff Talon model and improved Prologue missions (grammar fixes, autopilot flyby).

4. Campaign Outline

After the demo release, I will consider redoing missions if there are any canon inconsistencies, getting voice actors to record voiceovers for all the lines, and rereleasing a WCHF Demo Director's Cut.
I'll be posting the script and the campaign plan on the internal forum once I have one.
5. Number of missions
The WCHF Demo will have about 4 or 5 playable missions, and the main campaign will have about 14 playable missions, more or less. The WCHF Demo will run on the WCSaga Prologue, and the WCHF main campaign will run on the WCSaga full version. A patch will be released for the demo that will allow people to run it with WCSaga full version.
6. Why host it on HLP?
WCHF is a based on WCSaga, and subsequently, the FS2_Open engine. Since HLP has more people who are interested in FreeSpace, and more people who are interesting in modding FS2_Open based games, I think it makes sense for this mod to have a little corner on HLP. HLP also has a fair number of people who like Wing Commander, and have never heard of the WC novels or the Landreich. The WCHF public forum would serve as a discussion forum for False Colors and related topics, and also for discussing any new updates I post on the dev blog or any new dev diary entries. The WCHF internal forum will be used to centralize our development efforts. Besides, WCHF could use more attention, according to some people at Wingcenter.
7. Members
For now, it's just me and Woolie Wool, and FekLeyrTarg in the future since he'll be helping me out with the German translation. I may hire a couple more people to help out with FREDing, mission scripting, or music once I'm hosted.
8. What kind of server space does WCHF need?
I'd like some FTP space on HLP, and of course, a public and internal forum. In the future, when there's more team members, I might consider getting an SVN repo set up on rev_posix's server, if he can offer the space.
9. A special request...
Since WCHF is an addon for WC Saga Prologue, I'd like to have the WCHF public forum as a child board of the WCSaga forum on HLP.

This is the best-looking badge I could come up with. It's based on the Landreich flag.
11. Assets Agreement
The WCHF mod team will be using the same assets agreement that Diaspora is using. It is outlined in this thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,61174.msg1208347.html#msg1208347) in the Hosted Project Support forum. Since WCHF will have a German translation, the only addition that I would make is that translated text cannot be released without permission from the author of the untranslated text.

This is mainly looking for an admin to assist with setting up the site, forums, FTP, etc., and whatever is needed. Tolwyn and I have both approved the request, but we're both super busy right now.

Well I could probably handle the forum but I wouldn't know how to set up the rest. I really need to learn one of these days.
