No problem dude. Ask someone to download it for you and then burn it on a CD. Piece of cake.
OR
You can order it burned on a CD. Well i am 15% done so far.
And by the way, you can download a little bit of it each day, say 15 MBs and you will have it done in about 4 days if you go with that rate. The download can be continued.

No... it's not the connection. I could easily download it, but it's the computer hardware... being so crap...
-
I will give it a try and see how it looks...
-
Well my PC is 450 MHz and 128MB RAM. I don't see a reason for not working on myne?
They say that the min. is 350 MHz with 64MB RAM

Ditto. :(

It's the video card (also hard drive, being so small)... I won't even bother to try. I have 466MHz celeron and 160MB RAM, but integrated video card, which isn't too good. :headz:

Demo... I've bought the game already. :p
*note to self: reinstall game*

Did I also mention that there is a mission that is not found in the game? ;)
-
By the way, would it be OK to stick this?
-

Quite many demos have missions what are not in the full version.
-
Yeah its a new level, but doesnt add anything new to those who have completed the game already, FYI i have done the demo and its great, not as good as the real game battles with the reborn though.

I dont care how big the downlaod is I'm gonna get it
-
*** Downloading ***
-
Finished the game, but it's a new level. Like HL: Uplink.
Joy. :)
-
I'm playing the full game... *bliss*
-
Downloaded and played it. Guess what! The very first time I played it, I got killed in less than 15 seconds. But with some practice, I mannaged to get along with the lightsaber. In the moment it looked a bit clumsy to me, but when you learn to use it, you won't need a better weapon.
And not to mention saber to saber duels. Simpley AWESOME. It is like I am really dueling someone. Not like in Jedi Knights I Dark Forces II. Man I gotta get the full game. :D
Well see ya guys later. I gotta go! It is 4:00 AM
And... May the force be with you.
-
I'm not going to bother...
XP+Radeon=Quake 3 based games not working...
-
Looks good enough
The Lightsaber duels are awesome though :D

Come on tell me about it! I almost fell out of my chair when dueling a Dark Jedi!
-
Well I didn't... I was staring at the monitor amazed ;)
I allmost forgot to fight "properly" :D
(actually... the first try was a failure :p)
-
Hmm, it really seems to be very good game. Maybe I should download and try it on my big brother's computer. ;7;7:p
-
I spent hours downloadin it and I loved it
its a wicked Game and definently gonna get it
ohhhh YES!!!!!
-
I also managed to play it on my big brother's computer. But not enough. More tomorrow (I hope), and I'm not sure yet but it seems like it's pretty good. I guess I would buy it, but if I can't play it on my own computer, I won't.
I'm not an expert with the lightsaber. :D But it's very nice weapon.
Edit: I want to play more... maybe I can today... I hope! ;)
Also, thanks Razor, for the link.

Well OK I was joking about the falling from the chair thing but whoa even on Padawan level of difficulty, it took me about a few times to fight to win. And by the way, I have to run it in very-fast mode to get the best of the action. I hope it will be the same on the original game.
-
hehe, sure I knew that :D
anyway I guess it should be the same... don't see any reason why not
-
Really fun demo, though at first I didn't realize I had the Lightsaber and tried to bust the stormtroopers with my blaster :p

I also think that the lightsaber battle was amazing. I was playing on Padawan, and if I remember correctly I managed to win it at first time. But it took long, and I was very bad with the lightsaber. Then, I played on Jedi difficulty, and I tried to shoot it with my weapons and all that, and he used Jedi powers (or if they were that) and killed me many times, but then, after few retries I managed to beat him. :D I also learned that you shouldn't flee, because then you just lose health because he uses some dark powers. :p
But, against stormtroopers, I used also other weapons. I wonder if you can get better in using lightsaber and force powers in the demo.

Heh play it on the JEDI KNIGHT level of difficulty. You will be very surprised! ;7
And one more thing. Make the bar for the saber in the right bottom corner blue. It is battle mode. Yellow is deffence mode.
Well that Dark Jedi master is difficult to defeat. The Dark Padawan is piece of cake in my opinion. And yes you should flee because if you get too far he turns off the saber and you can use force health to recharge. But you gotta be quick and agile in saber battles.
-
By the way, do you guys think that Vasudans should use lightsabers in headz cutting? ;) ;7

I guess I will, I have only played it on Jedi and Padawan now. But I can't play it at the moment, because I can't play it on my computer. :snipe:
And thanks for the lightsaber tip, I will try to remember that when I have next change to play that.
Well, in demo there is only one guy with lightsaber, is he that Padawan? Also, I have learned to use lightsaber a bit now, but I will have to learn more. I guess, though, that it isn't always good against those stormtroopers. :)

Heh, that would look, well... strange. ;) I guess that the axe/whatever they use now is enough powerful. :D
-
oh so the blue is offence and yellow defence... damn I thought it's vice versa :p
-
I downloaded it yesterday but have not had the time to try it out yet (exams :(); should be able to play tonight. :)

Screw those exams! :D
Or if not that, play first, then study. :p
j/k, both of them... ;)
-
Actually that's what I have been doing for the last few days. :p :D :D (which is why I have to review the stuff now :D)
-
Noticed something annoying... :headz:
I was playing with Jedi Knight skill level, and I never managed to beat that harder Jedi (there were 2 of them, other was weaker, was it a Padawan?) with lightsaber. But, with one weapon (don't remember the name, but it was like flak cannon), it was really easy. There is nothing wrong with that I can't kill him, because I'm not good, but if I can't kill him with lightsaber but I can with normal weapon and that's stupid. And it wasn't hard with it. :snipe:
Edit: Also, I didn't find lightsaber to be better than those other weapons. But of course it can be just me... I wonder what I've done wrong with that lightsaber.
-
I had a problem with the lightsaber at first as well - it's hard to tell when you hit someone because they don't really react to it. It might help if it was a little more obvious that they'd been hit - i mean a small jet of blood or something would do wonders when it comes to seeing who's getting hit. Otherwise you can be fighting away getting your ass kicked whilst you think your killing the enemy instead.
-
Little sparks fly off them, blood aint allowed because its Star Wars. When i got the lightsaber, i didnt touch the other guns again.
-
I dunno, the Imperial Heavy Repeater was pretty funky in a trooper fight...
As for the sparks, spare me the child-orientation. I want blood!
-
Well i wanted to be a true Jedi, so it was my force powers and lightsaber alone.
-
If you play the DEMO on the JEDI skill level, you fight a Sith Master. But you should try to play on JEDI KNIGHT difficluty level. Anyone played yet?
I played on it and it is damn hard.
-

I played on it and it is damn hard.
Fighting those two dark jedi is helluva hard, once out of like 10 something times I beat them, with 15 health remaining. :)
-
Nonono... (In full version game atleast) blue mode is defensive mode, it's fast but does light damage. Red mode is very slow but does nice damage. And yellow mode is something between of the two.
Personally I favor the blue mode.
Try to beat the full game in Jedi Master difficulty, THAT'S HARD!
No, it's not hard for Kyle Katarn but it's frigging hard to keep friendly npc's that you're supposed to protect alive because they'll be always blasted to hell... :sigh:

Yes, I have played on it. It wasn't that hard, except those lightsaber battles I didn't win. But with one normal weapon I managed to kill those two lightsaber guys (whatever they are).
But try Jedi Master... that's hard. You start with 50 health, and that's maximum. Same with that shield (except that you start with 0). And that's not all, enemies do lots of damage and all... very hard.

In the demo there was only blue and yellow mode... red mode might be nice (and full version, too :p).

Well, even the demo was very hard with it. There wasn't any NPC's to protect, but it was hard for the player (at least for me :p).
-
AARGH!! I played it on Jedi knight difficulty. Those two Dark Jedi really got me mad. The first one I defeated was the Padawan. Poor dude! :D The second one keeped killing me and killing me. Then I got angry and started to swing the saber everywhere and at last I killed him, cutting off his hand.
Chee!! Two opponents!! What do they think I am? Darth Maul or something? :snipe:
-
can't run it- al I get is "the requested module could not be found" when I install it.
-
Why bother? I already have the full version! I love that game...it's like crack!
Heh. I think it'd be pretty sweet if some of us here who have the game jumped in for a few MP matches. :D I wouldn't be able to host though. Damn LAN system...

Okay, here's the official word on it. Blue=fast, yellow=medium, red=strong.

Actually, he's got the whole damn thing wrong! :D
Blue = Fast Stance. Good for quick, lightly damaging attacks. Good for getting a few quick hits in and backing away, or overpowering your opponent with a relentless barrage of slashes. Good for newbies.
Yellow = Standard Stance. Balences speed with power. not as quick as Blue, but has quite some power behind it. Use often.
Red (not in demo) = Power Stance. Slow, but ridiculously powerful. One or two slashes kill with this. The downside is the speed factor, very slow. If you can hit with this stance, it'll be well worth it. Recommended for advanced players.
Ack! Ned beat me to it. No matter, I'll kep this post up anyways. :D

oh.. anyway thanks for info

Well the saber moves are absolutely fantastic. I really love the saber clash and when you are trying to win a duel in that situation. Though the sounds are a bit different from Jedi Knight I Dark Forces II, but anyway they are cool. I nearly stick my face to the screen when playing.
-
Argh; still have not gotten a chance to play this due to exams. However, they are finally over (last one was today), so I will try it out tonight and see what the included level is like.

Trust me, you will not like it! :D No I am just kidding. Go play along! No really I was just kidding, but play it on different difficulty levels and of course use the lightsaber, the elegant weapon for a more civilized age.
-
Yeah, you will like it, at least if you play it few times.
I managed to beat the demo with Jedi Master (hardest), though I killed those two Jedi's with that flak cannon (UT) type weapon. But with Jedi Knight difficulty, I can usually beat them with lightsaber.
There are some moves I didn't found on readme, I managed to do some strange move but I don't know how, it was a mistake. :p
-
God I was pissed a few days back... I tried the Jedi Master level (I used Lightsaber allmost all the time) and got to the Dark Jedi quite easily... BUT, it took me about 10 tries after I managed to defeat both of them...
...and then came the Stormtroopers and killed me no matter how much I tried to block the lasers and go to the elevator so that I could get the one health pack from above (I had about 13 health left) :(
Damn I was pissed :D
Damn...

What? You like the Dark Side? *Prepares to ignite the lightsaber!* :D
-
no no no, I meant I managed to get to the cargo bay where the Dark Jedis were
not to become one of course :p
-
:D
Gortef i was having the same problem.
but i tried a little trick
Lure the dark Jedi's back into where the force field generator pit was, and hopefully 1 of the Dark Jedi's will fall in :) or you can encourage them too by using ur force powers.
When i last played it - the master Dark Jedi just jumped in straight away :D

Yeah, I have also tried that, and usually both of them fall down. The force push is also quite nice when they're in the air. They will fall and lose energy.
Jedi Master is nice, hard enough. It isn't too easy to beat those two dark Jedi's with lightsaber, though I have managed to do it.
Also, those stormtroopers aren't a problem because you can deflect their shots, and then go to safe place and use force heal. :)
-
I managed to complete the game in Jedi Master level yesterday :D
And I beat both of the D Jedi's with the lightsaber... maybe next time I'll try your trick Wildlife
-
Okay, finally downloaded this thing. Am I a Darksider now because I run all through the core Force-pushing stormtroopers into the pit? :D (I especially like the sound when you do it to the astromech droid)

I love doing that! It's one of the best parts of the game! :D
-
There's no lightside/darkside in single-player. You get a mix of powers. In multiplayer you can choose, though it's hardly momentous.
-
Well if I remember in Dark Forces 2 you have the choice of sides in single player. After defeating Maw, you will either be on the lightside or the dark side. Well my choice in most cases was the lightside. Why?
- You have stealth capabilities
- Blinding
- Healing (the only Force power than you can relly on when fighting Jerec)
- Absorb
- Protection
But on the Dark Side you only have destructive powers which I don't like very much. But anyway, according to the story, light side promisses long life but dark side promisses a lot of power but a very short life.
And for you Zylon, force push is a neutral force power so, you are neither on the good or the bad side. However, it wouldn't surprise me if you would choose the dark side.
Easy with the force lightning ok?
-
Has someone else found a secret in the demo? I have. :p It's in the first level of the place where the pit is, and you must go to left or right (don't remember) side, and you should see those green things. Then you should jump on the highest one, but you first have to jump on lower ones.

That's fun pushing those stormtroopers to the pit. :D
-
Agreed... hehe :drevil:
-
You can also, Force-Pull the officer up at the very top of the shield core into the pit. Heheh.
And you know those Stormtroopers up there with the officer that shoot at you in the initial drop area? I like to leave them alive, take the elevator up, then Push them out the window. Aiiiee!!! :)
Yep, you could say I'm a big fan of push technology. (rim shot)
One thing I don't like is how the lightsaber just indiscriminately rips into everything when you're walking around with it. You can't even walk up and push a wall panel without sparks flying. Also, you can leave that thing sticking in an explosive barrel all day, and nothing will happen.
