No, not whats on your monitor. Post your literal desk.
I'll start off.

The rightmost monitor is my gf's, just for references sake.

I am messy. o_o
-
heh, should've seen my desk before the cleanup.
also, MX518 owners, rejoice :D
-
Heh... didn't realize that at first. It's a relatively new one for me and hopefully it will last longer than the lame stuff I had before.

My desktop. (http://staff.hard-light.net/fury/desktop.jpg)

I need to be moar organized. Though I'm noticing a trend here... :P
The dining chair is in replacement of my office chair, which was commandeered by my sister and never returned.

Damn, Fury, what I'd give to keep my desktop as clean as yours...

Sorry about the mess.
-
Headdie, I'm not sure that qualifies as a desktop...
This is my workstation at home.. where I currently happen to be at the moment.

And yes, I am sporting a picture of the wife, baby booties under the right monitor and the ultrasound picture of my baby girl on my desktop.
Aren't I so sentimental?
-
Holy cow, Mjn. I think we have the same external DVD drive.

Hey Dilmah, what kind of sound system do you connect your Xbox to?
I have to go through a faulty speaker and use headphones which is kind of annoying.
-
Hey man, see that white speaker sitting next to the stick and right computer speaker? I connect the box up through there and just use the headphone jack on that, so it's not really that much better than yours. Only positive is that I don't have to plug it in, so I've got enough free powerboard slots to plug my laptop in when I bring it down.

Are you an evil overlord? Or is that just an EvE session that went overboard?

it's a google image result for 'multi monitor' used as a shoop template

^ The actual desk. Much cleaner than before I took the pic. There's usually a 360 under the larger monitor, but it is currently on loan to family. I just output the 360 sound through my PC's Line In to my main system.

^The other half of my work area. Yes, that is a 466 PowerMac G4. Only have it because it was free, (Like a lot of my stereo equipment), but it makes a good accuradio and music box, especially while the main desktop is in Linux when I'm programming. (Linux hates my sound card)
And yes, that is a turntable and the Nat King Cole live record in on it. And no, I'm not 40. I'm 19.
-
@OP: Is that a red snuffleuppagus on the shelf?

Oddly enough I have fond memories of those...

Drop in 1Gb of ram and 10.4 Tiger and it runs like a champ. Well..... okay, it runs beautifully stable, if not particularly quickly. And it's kinda fun finding up to date software for it. But theres a custom build of firefox called TenFourFox that runs quite nicely on it. And in fact, I was posting from that PowerMac at the time.
-
@OP: Is that a red snuffleuppagus on the shelf?
Nope. Red dice baggie and a red-ish angel-thingy me and my gf got for christmas from our friends..

Annnnd, now I feel shame. I'm gonna put some of those away.
-
You slob :D :p
-
Mine was at least that bad before I cleaned it up to take the picture, so no shame needed. I agree with an earlier poster that there seems to be a trend lol
EDIT: you seem to have the same speakers as me. Except yours has a green light, mine is blue. Fair size subwoofer to go with them?
-
Slob? I've still not seen anything as bad as mine. :D
-

Yep, I rest my feet on it. Playing a bass-heavy game is awesome, because I can actually feel when stuff happens.
-
I have to muffle the sub with paper towels and set it to half to keep the bass sane lol. I have a small place, and if i don't, it drowns out the rest of the music/game sound and vibrates the entire house. Which is a problem when you live in an apartment in the basement of a century home. :D
Also, shameless cheapskate must be shameless cheapskate - i got them on yard sale for 15 dollars. I consider that 15 dollars very well spent.

I need more space
-
One of the things I've learnt from purchasing an L-shaped table is that the corner segment is probably the least useful part of my room.
By the way, are you a beginner driver?
-
Yup, been driving for 6 hours in total now, still having trouble with the clutch :P
-

I think it's a universal law for learners to butcher the clutch.
-
It's more and more odd to see any new driver even bother learning how to use a clutched car at all, so props to you for that at least.
-
I was pulling off in second gear by accident this one time, didn't notice it and somehow managed not to stall :D

depends on the country, in the UK if you pass your test in an automatic your driving licence will only allow you to drive automatics, also manual gearboxes are also held in higher regard here than autos

done that one myself on more than one occasion, what car are you learning in?
-
Not impossibly hard to take off in second, depending on the car. Could do it in the 92 Gas Jetta I learned in; can do it, but not as easily, in the 92 saturn twin cam I drive now.
Also curious as to what car you're you're learning on. And, yeah, didn't realize that about the UK. I'm in Ontario, Canada. And yeah, over here, it seems like the only ones who drive manuals are those who are people who are manual enthusiasts. Even school buses and transports are changing to automatics.

My desk, everything center and left is my rig, right side is laptop's stuff

Let me get this right: you have an entire room for your computer needs?
-
I have a room for my computer, too... just doesn't take up much space.
-
I have a room for my computer, too, it just happens to have a bed in it.
-
done that one myself on more than one occasion, what car are you learning in?
1.2l vauxhall corsa, which has been modifed to have hydraulic power assisted steering rather than electric power assist.

I was messing around with Microsoft Photosynth (first time) on my iphone so it's not perfect, but it gets the message across, messy!
-
Jeez, and you can play FS2 on Insane with that kind of mess? I'm impressed.
-
I don't think Worf likes being on the smaller monitor ;)

On the other hand, prehaps that's exactly what makes him able to do that :P
