Title: Fred error need help

So what i got is this problem when im about to save my fred/mission i get this error the reason if theres a way to get my mission back that would be nice i tried restarting and re-loading im on this dead-line for this campaign life sucks lol.

Eeeyuck.  Why do you have so many ships in that mission?

It looks like the mission got corrupted, badly.  Not sure how (probably too many ships).  If you look at the Backup.xxx files in your missions folder, you might be able to recover an earlier version.

I salvaged the part of the mission that was salvageable.  Load this and see if it's adequate.

The backup now wont work and the one you just attached didn't either

But before you edited your post, it did work. :confused:  What changed?  Did you try all 10 backups?

Also, why do you have so many ships in that mission?

Alright what happend was the backup you told me about did work so when tryed saving it as .fs2 file so i coul start fredding again it got corrupted some how and the reason i have so many ships is for this mission i need, dont worry they all dont come out at once there some seperation to some ships. :P

You might want to try an Inferno build of FRED.  In any case, the file I uploaded did work for me -- although it is missing the wing, event, goal, message, and background information that got corrupted and was unrecoverable.

And you might want to try cutting down on the number of fighters and using repeating wing waves instead.

Well i started from scratch and hit new and started over but once i hit save for my second time those erros pop up again and its not allowing me to get the .bak file up.
