Title: Inventor of cartridge-based games dies
Post by: Mongoose on April 12, 2011, 10:34:46 pm
Jerry Lawson (http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/04/jerry-lawson-dies/), the man who created the first cartridge-based gaming console, died at age 70 of diabetes complications.  For every cartridge I've ever had to blow my lungs out into to get it to work, I salute him. :(

There's a lengthy article about him here (http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/545). Read it. It is awesome.
