No, it actually did get really good. io9 can probably give a history of its better episodes.

Well i watched the complete first season and my review of it could be summed up with "oh my god oh my god when does it end".

P.S.: poor Summer Glau. ;)

So it got better after the 1st season?

I thought the tv show was pretty decent. John Connor's character felt more real than the one from Terminator:Salvation.

i remember when termenator was a blow **** up movie that didnt take a lot of mind power to understand, now its become this cerebral philosophical temporally confused story line. but there is nothing wrong with that, is there?

The more convoluted it becomes, the more fun it becomes. Even if it makes no sense.

I honestly haven't seen any of the franchise other than a good portion of the original.  Not even 2.

Frankly I'm surprised to hear anyone say the show got better after season 1. I tried to give it a chance but it really felt like it lost it's compass in s2. It's cancellation didn't come as much of a surprise to me after that season tbh.
Spoiler:
The subplot with Jesse and her "mission" was just dumb and made my brain hurt. Even Stephanie Jacobsen's eye pleasing figure couldn't save that particular mess..

You missed out on a lot. Go watch 2. Now.
