A fully functional 30 day trial of TS2 is available. Check this (http://www.descent2.com/download/z_nondescentfiles/grafik/ts2trial.exe)  Can't be 100 percent sure if this still works.

no no im sure you can get TS2 for free!  i saw a thread about it not too long ago... plus the caligari site only has trials of TS3 and above.  from what ive seen TS's3-5 are just the same as TS2 but with just more bells and whistles.  is this correct?  my trial ran out for TS5 so i need something else to finish a ship(s) i was making.

If it's my thread you're tlaking about, don't bother, it got nowhere and I was accused of WAREZ-mongering.

I believe it was on one of these computer magazine CDs once, but that is all I have heard about it. (TS2, not TS1)

It was on the cover discs of a short lived and little-read PC Mag here in the UK, PlanetPC. Issue 2, I think.

I've seen it here:
http://www.jlstsi.com/download.htm
I believe that Caligari has stopped supporting it and it is available for free.

Okay, I'll give it a whirl.

Everybody dies.  (Well not Enoch and a couple of others)
Not everybody really lives.

Basically what this means is...
... After your birth time passes and eventually the processes that sustain your life will fail, be it by disease or organ failure.  The point is to make the time between now and then as meaniful as possible, whether to yourself or others.

That's about as good as I can do.

Basically, if you want to read into the meaning of everything! :D:D

It's a quote by Sailor Saturn in the later series of Sailor Moon. She's the most philosophical of the lot, and says a lot of things like that. Another version could be the greatest line in movie history, courtesy of Blade Runner:

It's too bad she won't live. But then again who does?

From the Caligari website's FAQ:

Q. Can I download Caligari Products? How do I do it?
A. Yes, you can download demo versions of Caligari products. As well, trueSpace2 and iSpace are available for download.
