Title: New Races / Engine Flame Colors

I need to make fourth (and fifth) races, with their own engine exhaust colors. Both of the new ones are going to be Terran - just of different factions. I do plan on recycling the actual glow effect, just with a different color.

What do I need to modify to accomplish this?

To get new species you need to to edit following files or create a tbm file.

Easier method, set new ships up as terran ships in ships.tbl but use custom thruster effects.

If it is just for the exhaust colours then what Fury said.  Species_defs is a lot of work (compared to other tables) because of the having to amend the tables that depend on it and that use it, but comes into its own if you want to go all out and set up new debris, briefing icons, bracket colours and IFF rules for the faction.

Ah - I found them. A half hour of screwing around in the 3.6.12 VP's, photoshop, and my mod's tables got the desired effect.
