Title: Website template designs needed
Post by: Sandwich on May 14, 2002, 05:29:58 am
Hey all, Avenger contacted me - he's in need of some website design templates. He's coded a backend to his site to allow the user to choose what style he views the site in, but his graphics skill suck, as he put it. Basically, a skinnable website, but he needs the skins.

To get an idea of the type of thing he's after, lookie here (http://www.zeldadoh.com/neatworks/devzone/gamegurus/index.html).

The design would need to fit any resolution, i.e. stretchable.

Any takers?

Is that Natalie Portman (;7), or am I seeing things? *image top-left*

Well taken that all his layouts were stolen off other people's websites, of course his website is 'skinnable'.

Erk... That's not his site! He just wants to have designs that are similar in layout to that one. Note the date of that site as well...

The fact the guy is called Gargantua  and not Avenger is a small but important hint :p.

Yep. So anyways, anyone want to design a site? Graphically, I mean?

I was talking about Avenger's website: www.themodplace.co.uk

The main page I've never seen another website carry, but most of the other layouts he's got for the 'subdomains' I've seen on other websites.

Practically any corporate site will do. They have a degree of customizability, are generally professionally made, come in 12-packs, and the corps can hardly ever be arsed to keep track.

The problem with me is that, while I am okay at 2D graphics design, my web design skills are severely lacking. :p

In fact, I plan to start a new topic here in a day or two regarding suggestions to the PI campaign website ( http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/procyon/ ), as I am sure there will be a lot of them, and I am not very satisfied with the current layout myself. :p ;) (not HLP-worthy in its current state; the only reason it is hosted is that the campaign itself is good :D)

All he's wanting is someone(s) to make up a few images that he can then cut up for the template.

but it's hard to do that without knowing the content involved or the topic of the website...

I'll ask him if he has any more specific info. :)
