Title: FSO write necessary registry entries or is it still necessary to run retail 1st?
Post by: jr2 on May 23, 2011, 07:00:32 pm
Just wondering if FSO writes necessary registry entries.  I know you used to have to fire up Retail FS2 first.  I'm asking so I can include directions when I up the FSO files.

Thanks.

The Launcher will write all the reg entries for FSO when you hit the "Apply" button.

Thanks.  :)

MMk, one more question, I have 3 failed campaigns,

Homesick
Shivans
Twilight

Doesn anyone have a successful FSO Installer version of these campaigns?  I want the mirrors to match what the Installer normally outputs, e.g. same mod.ini and revision of campaign and directory location / naming convention.

Can someone tell me what gets put where for these 3 campaigns?  I've downloaded them, but I'm not sure they are named correctly.

As long as the VP files are going into a dir named for the mod (EG: Homesick, Shivans, Twilight) and the mod.ini links to the MediaVPs p(or Port or whatever) then it should be fine.

My install of them is not via the Installer sadly, but I have other HDD's that may have the Installer txt data for them. I'll look.
