I think I've read that Blue Planet: War in Heaven has a mission where you fly one (right?).
Anyway, I think most are well aware that you CAN fly capships provided you hack the .tbl files or do some tricks in FRED. But this thread's purpose is to fill in my satisfaction of flying a capital ship and manually aiming the turrets.
So, can anyone recommend missions and/or campaigns where decent capital ship flying is demonstrated? The aiming-turrets and all? Then put them up for download.
thnx

War in Heaven's The Blade Itself is one of the best so far. It's really hard to manually aim turrets.

You can designate targets for turrets in The Blade Itself.
m!m did a script that lets you manually control one turret at a time.
Those are the only two options you've got. Nothing else meaningful has been done with capship command.
-
There's also a TrackIR turret control thing. Though, well, that requires you have TrackIR.

Is it an SEXP?
Where can I get it?

No, it's a script. It lets you take control of one turret at a time and shoot with it. You can switch between turrets. It is here (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=75021.0) and seems to be meant to be used with The Blade Itself.

Hmm...okay, thanks.

d00d that's cool. Can it be used for bombers?

Would be a good asset for WCSaga.
