Title: Request: Select Anis

I'd like to request that the FS2 Select anis get replaced by the way cooler FS1 anis or newly created ones.
Yay or Nay?

Just to be clear.. I'm already making the FS1 and FS2 style select anims for all canon ships and weapons. (On transparent background so they are independent of the interface itself.)

You can't use FS1 .ani's in FS2. Just wouldn't fit.

Agreeed with solololop. Wouldn't fit at all. Just like how FS2 .anis in FS1 wouldn't fit, regardless of "coolness".

These should be playing at 15 FPS.. looks to me like the .gif format is playing back a little faster.

FS1 Style

They has boring black (transparent) backgrounds because they are made for use with any interface.

Huh, I think I like the FS1 ones for FS1 and the FS2 ones for FS2 but don't see any problem with options.

Snuffleupagus dammit - Because i mess my option: Use the way cooler FS2 Anims in FS1. It's not like i use them, models for the win, but what the hell.

Why not compromise and take the best qualities from both? Take the neato 'phase in' effect (or whatever you'd call it) from the FS1 one and the grid from the FS2 one.

which is exactly, what i've predicted in irc.
Being able to see the future through the force can suck sometimes  :sigh:

Near the bottom of the first post are links to all FSPort and FS2 style select anims and icons. They come in two VPs and IF you are the kind of person that likes the FS1 version, you can drop these VPs into your install. They should work without a hitch.

These should also be useful for some mods out there! The Anims are EFFs with transparent backgrounds so that they are interface independent.

Sorry, gents.. turns out the FS1 weapon pack was missing a few icons.. I've fixed it and am re-uploading.. link will be replaced shortly.

In other news.. an FS2 set of the same pack is nearly ready.
