Ok, I've noticed how people are asking for tutorials for this and that in 3D applications. What about a section where we members submit tutorials to be hosted on HLP? That way we wouldn't have to go scrounging about the web or pay megabucks for a book when we could just go here. :)
Thoughts?
-
Would be damn good, if we could get enough tutorials... :)
-
Hell, I'll start writing some up if a section were created. All I'd need is a template to follow.
-
I think I speak for idiots everywhere when I say...
Duh....of course I wanna be smart like you all
I vote yes :D
-
Can't go wrong with tutorials.
-
yep. tutorials are good.
-
Yes,yes tutorials at HLP would be very good for new people (like me) at 3d. :)
-
I vote yes and offer my assurances that if it was followed through with tutorials produced, HLP would happily provide host for them in a manner similar to the interviews section.

Ok, so how about we get together in IRC sometime and work things out. Aside from stuff around the house, my schedule is pretty much clear.
This friday about....2pm CST sound good? Anytime past 3 and before 7pm and I can't guarantee that I'll be around.
Edit: Happy now Kellan? :)

oh, I missed that
-
Yes. And I promise to refrain from intentionally submitting misinformation.:D
-
MD - you need to say what TimeZone you're in or people will miss you by varying degrees. :D
-
I think we can do this..... who's going to do what tutorials?
-
Here's one for a start. (http://denebsystem.cjb.net/tutorial_01.html) :)
-

I can cover basic conv tables, primitives-based modeling in MAX and simplar progs, compositing for renders, special effects, access to cheap resources, etc.
In other words, I won't know what I can do until I've done one.:D
-
I'll cover the basics w/ 3dsmax (R2.5)
-
I could give it a try.
If you want...
