Lucifer was getting old, it's now Vishnans (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Vishnans). Picked a random screenie for the main page, if you guys have something more appropriate, please change it. A few more pics on the article itself would be nice as well, but not required (got you started on that a little bit :p).

Why couldn't we link an article that wasn't just transcripts of tech descriptions? A lot of effort went into making the Gef page.

He's right, that would be a much better pick. I'm not entirely happy with the Vishnan tech descriptions' quality anyway.

Featured Article selection has a thorough, rigorous selection process, which was utterly adhered to in this choice. Essentially, someone, usually (though not always) me, must get bored of the existing article, or realize it's been there too long. Then, at least one to two minutes of thought is taken to choose a new one. Finally, the relevant changes are made, and people get told about them, occasionally prompting article improvements.

Anyone who has a problem with this system can do, well... whatever they want. It's a wiki. Change it. :D But do it quickly, otherwise we'll be going from one BP article to another, and we should be aiming for more diversity that that.
