A small clarification: The netherlands has different levels of education. For the past 6 years, I have been studying VWO, Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs, or Pre-University education. As the title says, this is required for university, and is the highest level of education you can get in the Netherlands.
Some moments ago, I recieved the call that I have succesfully completed the final exams. And thus, have sucesfully completed this study. I can now study Earth Sciences in Amsterdam next year.
Which makes me rather happy.

I may have worded that wrong: It's the highest level off ... ehrm... middle school... education you can get, and is a requirement for university.
